The level of rigor to enter the UI is very high. Where only 5% of applicants are accepted each year. For example, in the year 2008 only 5000 students accepted than 100,000 applicants. UI graduate education realized in 2012 and is expected to more than 50% of students for Master's and Doctoral programs. UI has graduated PhD in comparison with most other universities in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. In 2012, UI produces more than 500 PhD graduates per year.
